Maharashtra Day stock market holiday: NSE, BSE to remain shut on May 1


Stock market holidays in May 2024, Maharashtra Day stock market holiday, Maharashtra Day 2024: According to the holiday calendar available on the BSE, both NSE and BSE will remain shut tomorrow, May 1 on account of Maharashtra Day. Maharashtra day commemorates the formation of the state of Maharashtra in India on May 1, 1960, after its division from Bombay State.  According to the BSE, the Equity Segment, Equity Derivative Segment and SLB Segment as well as the Currency Derivatives Segment and Interest Rate Derivatives segments will also remain closed on May 1.

MCX holiday on May 1 

Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) will remain shut for trading in the morning sessions i.e., 9 AM to 5 PM tomorrow, May 1. However, MCX will remain open for the evening session i.e., 5 PM to 11:30 PM /11:55 PM.

When will trading be available on NSE and BSE next?

The domestic stock market will resume trading normally on Thursday, May 2 at 9:15 am, following a fifteen-minute pre-opening session starting 9:00 am, according to the BSE and NSE websites.
